Welcome to Epic

Welcome to Epic

Your care is getting an upgrade

Mount Nittany Health is transitioning to Epic, one of the nation’s most trusted electronic health record systems. This upgrade is an important step in our commitment to providing safe, seamless and connected care for every patient we serve.

What this means for you

  • A new and improved patient portal for appointments, test results and messages
  • One unified medical record across all Mount Nittany Health locations
  • Faster, more coordinated care with fewer forms and repeated questions
  • Easier sharing of information with other health systems that also use Epic

MyMountNittany is now powered by Epic’s MyChart

Our new MyMountNittany MyChart portal will give you a simple, secure way to manage your health anytime, anywhere. While the Meditech portal will remain available until May 30, 2026, we encourage you to start using MyMountNittany when it goes live on May 20, 2026.

With MyMountNittany, you can:

  • Schedule and manage appointments
  • Track your medications
  • View and pay your bills securely
  • Connect directly with your care team
  • See the whole picture of your health in one place

If you already use MyChart at another health system, you can link your accounts and view everything together.

Stay connected with text notifications

Text* reminders are the fastest way to get updates about appointments, messages and more. To opt in, text “HELLO” to 53582.

Epic brings better-for-the-planet paperless billing

We’re moving to paperless billing for hospital and physician statements. This change helps make your healthcare experience simpler and more convenient. Your statements will be available in your MyMountNittany portal, where you can view them anytime.

To make sure you don’t miss a statement, check that your email or text notifications are turned on in your MyMountNittany account. But know that this update must be made online — not through the app.

Prefer paper statements? You can switch back at any time through the mobile app or website.

Understanding MyMountNittany proxy access

With our move to Epic, we’re introducing a more secure and streamlined way to share healthcare information with trusted family members or caregivers.

If you currently have proxy access in Meditech, it will not automatically transfer to Epic. You’ll need to set it up again in MyMountNittany.

What is proxy access?

Proxy access allows someone you trust — like a parent, spouse or caregiver — to view and help manage your health information through MyMountNittany.

How to set up proxy access in Epic

There are two ways to establish proxy access in Epic:

Self-setup by the person giving access

The individual who wants to grant access can do so directly in MyMountNittany:

  • Log in to MyMountNittany and click on the menu (hamburger icon)
  • Go to the “Sharing Hub”
  • Select “Manage Friends and Family Access”
  • Click “Invite Friends or Family” and complete the requested information

Request proxy access

To request access:

  • Log in to MyMountNittany
  • From the main menu at the top, scroll down and select “Questionnaires”
  • Click “Proxy Access Request Questionnaire” and complete the questionnaire
    • Select the appropriate level of access
  • Upload applicable documents and complete/submit
  • Health Information Management (HIM) reviews and approves (may take 3 to 5 business days)

*Text messages related to your relationship with Mount Nittany Health — including updates related to your visits, MyMountNittany account, one-time passcode, billing notifications, prescription reminders and care management — will be sent to the phone number provided. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. Text “HELP” for assistance and text “STOP” to opt out of notifications from that short code. Please review the full terms and conditions and privacy policy.
