Bronchial thermoplasty: This new technology is aimed at helping patients with asthma breath better.
Lung Nodule Care: The Mount Nittany Health Pulmonary providers have the right expertise for patients with lung nodules. If a chest X-ray or CT scan has identified a small growth on your lung the providers can help you determine the best follow up. Thorough follow-up based on current evidence-based treatment recommendations, allow providers to detect any enlargements in the nodule and plan appropriate early intervention, if required. Because our providers give personalized care, there can be elimination of unnecessary procedures due to close monitoring of nodules.
Medication
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT): Performed by a respiratory therapist, the common diagnostic study evaluates the functioning of the lungs and how well they move air in and out.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation: A six-week class series designed to help people with chronic lung disease, such as severe asthma or COPD. Using exercise, education, and support, the classes are designed to provide structured, monitored physical activity to improve breathing and quality of life for patients.
